15 years of connecting, collaborating, and innovating, all driven by the joy of creating together.

It all started with just three people, then ten, fifty… and today, we are 200 talented individuals based in Paris and New York.

Over the years, IZIPIZI’s philosophy has brought together unique people with bold ideas, all united by the same desire: to bring smiles to millions of faces around the world with one truly remarkable product.

Glasses are everyday companions, present in every moment of life. They’re there to protect your eyes, but also to express a sense of style and a commitment to thoughtful design. We bring imagination and responsibility, built into every product.

Today, we celebrate a symbolic milestone for our brand. We are proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re more excited than ever to shape the next chapter of the IZIPIZI adventure, together.

2010

It all started with a friendship.

The three founders: Charles, Quentin and Xavier

Charles, Quentin, Xavier: friends since high school in Lyon.

The trio shared a common ambition: to surprise, delight, and truly make a difference.

Right after graduation, they decided to take the leap.

It all started with a simple idea rooted in helping others—inspired by their own mothers, who dreamed of "borrowing their eyes" to read with ease.

They poured their creativity and optimism into a project that quickly evolved into something far greater than just a product—it became a meaningful mission.

The idea takes shape.

Self-service glasses – SEEUP face-à-main

The idea comes to life through a distinctive design, blending an object from the past with a modern function.

After the chained pen, it’s the handheld glasses turn to make a comeback...now with a stand and in several colors!

First placed in bank branches, it quickly became a helpful tool for anyone struggling to read the lines, and between the lines! The idea caught on, and so did the ambition.

A wider vision.

First pair of glasses

The handheld readers had proved their worth, now it’s time for the next step: the everyday reading glasses.

More liberating, more ergonomic, they emerge as the ideal solution for everyday reading—at the office, at home, anywhere your eyes need support.

Their colorful, on-trend design resonated instantly, quickly extending far beyond just reading. Soon, sunglasses and blue light filtering models followed—designed for both adults and kids.

Under the name See Concept, hundreds of styles were created to meet those growing needs and desires. The goal remained simple: to meet as many expectations as possible.

And soon, thousands of models would be brightening faces across the globe!

2013

The doors of style open.

Reading frame at Colette, Paris

An iconic destination opened its doors to IZIPIZI reading glasses.

Colette—the legendary trendsetting concept store—was the first to embrace the brand’s vision: stylish, accessible frames presented in a space as bold as the idea itself. The success was instant.

Soon, Parisian icons like Merci and Le Bon Marché joined the movement, followed shortly after by Selfridges in London.

From there, IZIPIZI’s world expanded rapidly—now proudly shared by hundreds of renowned retailers across the globe.

Quentin Couturier and Inès de la Fressange

IZIPIZI frames were designed with a universal approach: made to suit as many faces as possible, for all genders.

A simple yet powerful promise that quickly caught on, even among celebrities. The product has become a daily essential: both practical and stylish.

Inès de la Fressange was one of the first to open the doors of the French and global fashion scenes to the brand, establishing IZIPIZI as a true fashion accessory, a style statement!

Our free spirit blossoms.

Box set: mini book + reading glasses at Colette

IZIPIZI’s creative potential is vast.

It was alongside Loïc Prigent—the French documentarian known for his unique take on fashion—that the brand launched a series of bold and original collaborations.

The concept? An unexpected duo: a “mini” book paired with reading glasses, available exclusively at Colette.

A strong move that marked IZIPIZI’s entry into the contemporary cultural scene.

After that, one thing was clear: no idea felt out of reach.

Countless collaborations have taken shape since, each more surprising than the last, with iconic brands and artists like MoMA, Magritte, Woolrich, Bonpoint, Moleskine, Sunnylife... can’t wait to see what’s next!

2016

Our glasses find their first home.

IZIPIZI space at the Carrousel du Louvre

After being proudly represented by hundreds of carefully selected retailers, IZIPIZI now aims to offer a complete experience by launching into direct-to-consumer sales.

One summer, the brand took over a space at the Carrousel du Louvre: finally meeting its customer face to face. This direct connection, the missing piece in the customer journey, quickly became an obvious next step. Retail became a priority.

Cities, neighborhoods, and streets were thoughtfully chosen to create the best conditions for connecting with customers, prospects, and partners. The first store opened in Le Marais district of Paris, on rue Vieille-du-Temple, soon followed by more in Paris, London, Brussels, Lyon, Bordeaux… and this is only the beginning!

2017

The brand wanted to assert its identity and philosophy even more strongly: its sunny spirit, its elegance, and its simplicity. It needed a name that was evocative in its spelling, sound, and visual treatment. IZIPIZI quickly stood out as the obvious choice.

Derived from the English expression “easy peasy”, it reflects the playful, smart, and joyful spirit that defines both the brand’s culture and its product offering. Immediately placed on the product, its packaging, case, store furniture, and retail spaces, IZIPIZI was naturally embraced by customers and partners alike. Today, the name is almost part of everyday language, no matter how it’s pronounced!

2018

The journey speeds up.

IZIPIZI store

Retail and wholesale expansion is picking up speed: IZIPIZI is gaining a strong presence in major European cities, and is perfectly positioned in all the right places—fashion, eyewear, kids, culture, and sports.

The teams are growing and traveling the world to meet with partners at events and trade shows, elevating the brand and its products as must-haves for all.

In train stations, airports, and even on planes, IZIPIZI is everywhere, much to the delight of those who already know the brand... and those who are about to discover it!

2019

Our commitment is essential.

IZIPIZI sustainability report

The world is changing, and so is IZIPIZI.

Environmental and social commitments have always been key to the company’s development, and it was time to share them with a wider audience.

Carbon footprint assessments, financial and product donations, team involvement with French and international non-profit organizations, and internal initiatives promoting collective wellbeing: all of these have contributed to making IZIPIZI a positive destination, both for customers and for talent.

The goal, as strong as ever, remains the same: to have a positive impact on people’s lives by protecting their vision while minimizing environmental impact. Thanks to ongoing collective efforts, this approach led, a few years later, to IZIPIZI earning the international B Corp certification (2023).

Together, we stay strong.

The world was plunged into a challenging time with the arrival of COVID.

Countries went into lockdown, and stores were forced to close. This was a difficult period for many brands, impacting the entire value chain, from production to logistics.

IZIPIZI faced the situation with pragmatism: its teams and partners held strong and kept creating, so that life could carry on despite everything. E-commerce stepped in where physical retail couldn’t, reaching customers across the globe and helping the company stay resilient while its stores remained closed.

The brand used it as an opportunity to come back stronger, with reinforced commitments, ready to face the challenges of our time and to reaffirm the essential nature of its product.

The IZIPIZI team

The story of IZIPIZI began with three childhood friends, “the boys”, as they’re often called.

Over the years, as the brand’s success grew, the company expanded from just a few team members to several dozen, and today counts over 200 people.

The IZIPIZI philosophy brings people together across the globe. A collaborative spirit pushes the teams to go further, imagining together the future of collections and innovations to be developed.

At the heart of the new IZIPIZI House, right in the center of Paris, the magic happens and ideas flow, all to keep surprising our customers even more!

The culture of working well together, driven by values of kindness, collaboration and challenge, continued to grow, and a few years later (in 2022), led IZIPIZI to join the "Great Place to Work".

Its journey has been made possible thanks to the involvement of many, “friends of the brand” in France and around the world: advisors who were there at key moments, and commercial partners who chose to support and represent the brand locally over the long term.

Starting in 2022, the desire emerged to bring all these stakeholders together for “reveal” ceremonies: moments to unveil the brand’s latest releases and share our long-term vision.These events are also an opportunity to exchange best practices and learn from each other’s dynamics.

Held every year in May and November, these gatherings allow us to grow collectively and strengthen bonds that are as precious as they are lasting.

The American dream

IZIPIZI poster in the United States

The United States has always been a major source of inspiration for the French, and more broadly, for Europeans. It's a destination with strong economic and cultural influence, often ahead of the curve, shaping many of the trends that later reach our markets.

The dream of establishing a presence there became a reality in 2023, fueled by highly encouraging feedback from our local partners, who pushed us to take the leap.

We opened a subsidiary and a second headquarters in New York, supported by a team of local experts to lead operations across the U.S. At the same time, we set up a warehouse in Chicago to boost responsiveness and stay close to our North American customers.

This strategic shift positioned IZIPIZI as a truly international brand. It also paved the way for new collaborations with key players in American fashion and culture, helping us shape an offer even more in tune with the local market.
