FRANCK BERNES

FRANCK BERNES

Who are you?

A skier from the Pyrenees who decided to move to the Tarentais Valley 12 years ago, and then to Chamonix in 2011.

After 11 years at the helm of the ZAG brand, today I lend my experience to people working on interesting projects, always bearing in mind that the aim is to spend lots of time skiing and to film from time to time...

What’s your favourite spot?

In the last few years, living in Chamonix, I’ve obviously spent a lot of time on the Valley’s slopes, with a preference for Les Grands Montets, Vallorcine and Aiguille du Midi. But my absolute favourite spot is always going to be the one my friends are at, so it could be anywhere on the planet!

What do you think about the new IZIPIZI mask?

Having helped develop it, I can immediately see all the characteristics I feel are essential, like simplicity, efficacy, robustness and style. I used the first prototype all winter, it didn’t fog up once, I never lost it and never broke it. So it is a real success! Well done to the IZIPIZI developer team.

NICOLAS FALQUET

NICOLAS FALQUET

Who are you?

A bit of a Swiss army knife... A very useful tool that can be used for lots of different things, like producing, directing and freeriding. I’m an old piece of equipment at 40 years old or so, but luckily I was made in Switzerland with top-quality stainless steel.

Since 1998, I’ve been passionately dedicated to promoting my sport in the most original and creative way possible.

I like skiing, I like filming and I love putting my ideas into action...

What’s your favourite spot?

The Alps, and probably the little resort of Marécottes (Switzerland). I’ve travelled all around the world looking for something to beat it but never found it!

I live in Les Marcottes, I ski there and I’ve made the outdoors my studio!

What do you think about the new IZIPIZI mask?

Not only is it a high-quality product but it’s also effective and stylish. For me, that’s what counts!

Trophy Cabinet:

I’ve spent the last 20 years avoiding competitions and awards with the deep-rooted belief that I can promote my sport through film and images alone.
I’ve always believed in this alternative approach to sport and its ability to turn a discipline into a type of culture, a sort of art form.
