Lunettes de lecture solaires

Reading sunglasses, also known as sun readers, combine magnifying lenses for presbyopia with sun protection in a single pair. They let you read comfortably outdoors without having to stack your reading glasses on top of your sunglasses, or switch from one pair to the other. Lightweight and practical, they bring your close-up vision back into focus while protecting your eyes from bright light.

Reading sunglasses are ideal whenever you need to see up close in bright sunlight: reading a book at the beach or by the pool, looking at a menu on a terrace, checking your phone outdoors or doing a crossword on holiday. Indoors, our classic reading glasses are a better fit, and for long hours in front of a screen, discover our blue light reading glasses.

No. The magnifying correction covers the entire lens, so it is designed for close-up vision only: distant objects will appear blurry through the lenses. Simply remove your reading sunglasses to look into the distance, and never wear them while driving or walking. For driving, choose a pair of non-corrective sunglasses instead.

Our reading sunglasses feature category 3 sun lenses, suited to bright sunlight, which filter visible light to reduce glare and improve visual comfort. They also provide 100% UV protection, blocking UVA and UVB rays, and have a scratch-resistant coating to withstand everyday use.

Choose the same strength as your usual reading glasses: the correction works the same way, only the lenses are tinted. Our reading sunglasses are available in +1.0, +1.5, +2.0, +2.5 and +3.0. If you don’t know your strength yet, our reading test can help you estimate it. And if you hesitate between two strengths, we recommend choosing the lower one for greater comfort.
